This program is for any kids who are really not interested in running and want to explore becoming STRONGER and more POWERFUL while working with the THROWS aspects of Track and Field.
Six Weeks, 2x per week sessions with an option to choose 3 weeks partial commitment (1x per week for 6 weeks or any 3 weeks).
We will utilize med balls and kettlebells for full body mobility workouts. Possibly some plyos and short sprinting too! The other half of each session will be spent on technical aspects of the five throwing events: Shot Put, Discus Throw, Javelin, Hammer Throw, Weight Throw.
We will focus on the rotational throw and will be sure to teach kids the proper footwork and drills to do on their own.
POSSIBLE THROWS MEETS depending on enrollment and interest. Meets may be in upstate New York.
