Kevin Beirne

Co-Founder, Coach

Kevin has been teaching high school Mathematics, and coaching Cross Country and Track & Field for the past nineteen years.
He has been teaching and coaching at Chaminade High School since 2011.
He lives in Melville with his wife and three children.

Brian Hayes

Co-Founder, Coach

Brian has been teaching high school Mathematics, and coaching Cross Country and Track & Field for the past thirteen years.
He has been teaching and coaching at Chaminade High School since 2009.
He lives in Northport with his wife and two children.

Carl DiSarno

Coach

Carl has been teaching middle school Social Studies and coaching Cross Country and Track & Field for the past fourteen years.
He has been teaching in Manhattan and coaching at Stuyvesant High School since 2017.
He lives in Greenlawn with his wife and two children.

Tiana Clifford

Coach

Tiana is a first grade teacher at Oakwood Primary Center in the South Huntington School District. She coaches both Varsity Women’s Soccer and Track at Walt Whitman High School. Tiana grew up in Greenlawn and now lives in Islip with her husband and their newborn daughter.

Tyler Capozzoli

Coach

Tyler is the Assistant Principal at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Deer Park. Before that, he was teaching Social Studies at St. Thomas the Apostle in West Hempstead. He has coached cross country and track and Kellenberg High School for the past five years.

Peter Alfano

Coach

Pete brings a wealth of coaching experience to Long Island Fun Runners, with past experience as the head coach at Hofstra University and Mepham High School, specializing in the distance events. He is currently teaching elementary Physical Education in New York City, and lives in Wantagh with his wife and two children.

Angela Mongitore

Coach

Angela is a Physical Education and Health teacher at Sacred Heart Academy. She has been a cross country and track coach there for the past six years. She has worked as an assistant coach at Adelphi University, and has also coached youth soccer during that time. She lives in North Massapequa and is getting married next summer.
