PROGRAMS
These are introductory “seasons” where the kids learn the basics. Designed for younger kids and beginners, but open for those in PK - 8th.

CLINICS
These are technical and more serious in nature. Designed for kids in grades 5-8 who are really into their athletics.

RACING SERIES
These are low commitment opportunities for kids who just really like to race! This option helps to keep them competitive and also develops speed and strength through racing. Kids run two races per day.

ADULT ROAD RACING TEAM
Brand New for 2022 - This is for parents, recent college graduates, really anybody that’s looking for a group to belong to for their road races. You should do this if you run several road races during the year and just wanted to do it while supporting Long Island Fun Runners.
Membership is $50 for the year and you get a navy Fun Runners singlet to wear to all your races. We will have a presence at several road races through the year (schedule forthcoming) and a monthly newsletter highlighting results, as well as postings on social media.
Long Island Fun Runners will fully fund one complete 8-person team to run the Ocean To Sound Relay at the end of September.
HIGH SCHOOL OPTIONS
SUMMER HS TRAINING PROGRAM
6 weeks starting after 7/4.
Sunday Mornings, West Hills Park
Tuesday Evenings, Hempstead Lake
Wednesday Evenings, West Hills Park
Commit to your summer training, and run one or two or three days per week, in groups, with other kids of your ability level. Runs are kept relaxed, with an extra emphasis on stretching, drills, and strides. Stay off the roads and run with some new friends this summer.
An affordable, summer-long program that will have you show up in shape in September.
SUNDAY RUNDAY PROGRAM
This program is for distance runners who want to make sure they do their Sunday long runs each week of the season, and set themselves up for great results.
Easy runs of 4-7 miles through on Sundays.
